Western Division leaders, Fresno Monsters, cruised to three comfortable wins over rivals San Diego Sabers, and put 12-points between them in the standings. The Sabers are stifled after winning eight of their previous nine games heading into the weekend versus Fresno.

San Diego dropped to third place after suffering the sweep and concludes its season series with the Monsters winning three and losing six. With the win, the Monsters find themselves in a seven game win streak

Mikhail Gavrilenko had four goals in the first two games of the weekend, but it was Petr Philippov who stood out with multiple points in all three games good for 2G-5A-7P. You can also look to Bjorn Gabrielsson as a key player in the series registering 1G-3A-4P in Game 1, and 2G-1A in Game 3.

Sebastian Nilsson was in net Friday and Saturday making 58 saves to reach seven wins in the season. Max Karlenzig stopped 29 shots in Game 3 to earn his 13th win.
