FRESNO, CA – The Fresno Monsters announced today that they will be holding a press conference on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 2pm located at Selland Arena on the Northeast side near the main entrance.
The Monsters stated that hockey club owner Jeff Blair, on behalf of the Central Valley Community Sports Foundation, will be releasing news on the upcoming season and the future of hockey here in the Central Valley.
The press conference will be open to the general public as well as media outlets here in the Valley. Both the Monsters and owner Jeff Blair encourage fans of the hockey club to make an appearance and show their support.
Many in the hockey community and the Western States Hockey League have speculated that the Fresno Monsters have been working with the City of Fresno and SMG Management to return the hockey club back to Selland Arena as a permanent home. This speculation came after the Monsters had a very successful three game series at Selland Arena earlier this year in February with an estimated attendance above 12,000 over the course of three days.
The hockey club stated after the February series that “The Monsters Will Return”, which left many fans here in the Valley asking how and when? But the Monsters have remained mostly silent since the season ended back in March leaving only hints and clues along the way.
It seems that FINALLY we will get an answer to all our questions next Monday….
