Monsters find their winning stride before heading to Washington

The Fresno Monsters swept the Valencia Flyers this last Friday & Saturday before moving on to defeat Ontario on Sunday (7-1).

During yesterday's game the Monsters looked like themselves again with an aggressive style of play that would ultimately come to frustrate the Avalanche players and fans. Zack Turpin got the hat trick with two goals in the first and one in the third before leaving the game for fighting. Woodard, Fielder, Baker, and Aleksanyan would fill in the blanks - each one of them getting a goal.

Karlenzig was in net for all three games and only allowed a total of two goals to get past him.

This weekend also marked captain Ty Wright's 100th game playing in the WSHL and for the Fresno Monsters.

The Monsters will now travel to West Sound in Washington to take on the Admirals starting this Friday at 7:30pm. You can stream the game on Black Dog Hockey and follow the play by tweets on the Monsters twitter account.
