The Fresno Monsters (7-5-0-1) first set of home games for the 2019-20 season will be a pair of games this Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 5pm against West Sound (0-14-0-0) at Gateway Ice Center.

The Series

The Monsters and Admirals will meet for the second time this season and last. Fresno swept the series earlier this season in October on West Sounds home ice. During that series West Sound was held to four goals in three games and conceded 32 goals, and was shutout once.

The two teams met once last season where Fresno also had 3-0 victory over the Admirals.

Scouting the Admirals

West Sound is currently on a 14-game skid and is still pointless in the season.

West Sound fell to Valencia Thursday night 3-5 giving the Flyers their first win of the season.

Cory Kane is currently the Admirals point leader with 12 goals and 7 assists. Following close in second is Randy Yeakley with 7 goals and 10 assists.

Monster Bites

Fresno is coming off a 13 game road trip spanning the entire month of October and look forward to playing in front of a home crowd. On the road, the Monsters struggled losing 4 games straight to Las Vegas before finding their footing and going on to win 6 straight games including 2 shutouts.

The Monsters current point leader is veteran forward Zack Turpin with 15 goals and 11 assists. In almost a mirror like fashion; rookie forward Narek Aleksanyan has 11 goals and 15 assists.

Fresno's starting goalie Max Karlenzig currently has a 0.954 save percentage with two shutouts and will most likely start one of the two games this weekend.
