Monsters veteran goalie Max Karlenzig commits to Ohio University


The Fresno Monsters of the USPHL Premier Division are proud to announce that goaltender Max Karlenzig has committed to Ohio University to play at the ACHA Division l level. The Chicago, IL., native played three seasons for the Monsters suiting up in 81 games, ending the 2019-20 season with a SVS% of .918 and multiple shutouts. “Max was a huge part of our success these past few seasons. When there was a big game on the line, he was the guy we counted on to go out and make the saves between the pipes," said General Manager Jeff Blair. “Not only is Ohio getting a great goaltender but they are also getting a smart kid who is mature and ready for the challenge at the college level. I'm happy for Max and his family as he moves on in his hockey career," added Blair.
