Michael Nickolau, and the Las Vegas Thunderbirds handed the Fresno Monsters their fourth straight loss. Final score was 0-5 at Sobe Ice Arena on Saturday.
It was Nickolau's first shutout of the season and the 1st in Thunderbirds franchise history. Owen Webster had two goals with his teammates - Terrana, Svartbro and Urbanec each scoring one goal each.
Monsters continued to press hard but were unable to finish on their scoring chances. Aleksanyan applied pressure every shift and was able to gain one big breakaway but was shut down with a big save by Nickolau. Markstedt was also doing well to apply pressure and had a couple of great scoring opportunities.
The Monsters will now travel to Valencia (Ice Station) to take on the Flyers this Friday at 7:15pm.
