Meet the New Staff Members

FRESNO, CA – The Fresno Monsters announced today alongside their news of returning to Selland Arena that they will be expanding their staff for the upcoming 2018-19’ season.

Here is a closer look at some of the newest Monsters:

Director of Marketing – Micolette Pena

Micolette began her career working for Fresno State as the Operations Manager of the Student Recreation Center in 2012 before moving onto the Fresno Grizzlies in 2015 with the ticket office. While at the Grizzlies she began her internship with the Fresno Monsters while attending Fresno State where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration in 2017. Shortly afterwards she began working for the San Francisco 49ers before being named to Community Relations at the Visalia Rawhide.

Pena is originally from Tulare, CA.

Marketing Assistant – Kimo Alaman

Kimo is no stranger to hockey in the Central Valley as he grew up in the Fresno Falcons junior system. Last season Kimo returned home from Hawaii to play for the Fresno IceDogs. During the IceDogs 2017-18’ season, Kimo fractured his collar bone ending his season. It was during this time that Kimo began working for the Monsters and begun his career in sports marketing. He currently attends Fresno Pacific University working towards his major in marketing.

Alaman is a native to Fresno, CA.

Broadcast Announcer – Nick McGee

Nick is a former WSHL player who switched to broadcasting at the start of the 2017-18’ season. At the end of his first season broadcasting he was nominated for Best Announcer in the Western States Hockey League. Recently, Nick was recognized and awarded by the California State Senate and Senator Joel Anderson for his outstanding service as a play-by-play broadcaster.

Account Executive – Amanda Brendle

A wife and mother of regular hockey goers, Amanda was first introduced to the Monsters as a billet mom during the 2017-18’ season. During this time, she fell in love with both the organization and the legion of Monster fans. This love pushed Amanda to seek out an opportunity with the team where she could further be involved with the hockey community and help out with her more than 20+ years of sales experience.

Brendle is a native to Fresno, CA.
