The Moose players knew they needed a substantial win to figure into the mathematics of who would move on and they appeared to be working toward that early with an early 2-0 lead.
That was trimmed to 2-1 by the end of a period and it was the Monsters up 4-3 heading to the final 20 minutes where things got even wilder.
Tyler McNeil (‘02/Valencia, Calif.) paced the Monsters attack with a three-goal outing and Akhmed Malsagov (‘00/Moscow, Russia) scored twice for the Moose.
