Fresno sweeps San Diego in the season opener


The Fresno Monsters (3-0-0) capped a six-point weekend to kick off their inaugural season in the new Pacific Division (USPHL) with a series sweep over San Diego.


Series Rewind:


The Monsters came out strong on night one against the Sabers as forwards Biller, Setoguchi, Eruslanov, and Moxham would set the tone for what would become an 8-3 victory over San Diego.


Game 2 proved to be for the veterans as Bauml, Leech, and Gavrilenko would all three picking up a goal apiece while rookie Tynan Peacock would get his first goal with the Monsters.


During game 3, Fresno continued their momentum from the previous two nights, and rookie Drew Brett would put the final nail in the coffin.

Next Series:


Fresno will return to action this weekend on the road against Anaheim starting on Oct. 30.
